Why I made this
My father died four years ago. We were close, and we talked about everything except the years before I was born. I always thought there would be time to ask.
Now, on the days I miss him, I want something of his to open. His handwriting. His voice. There is nothing.
So I made the book I wish he had filled in.

What exactly do I get?
A printed, bound journal: 58 guided stories across 8 chapters, 178 pages, in hardcover or paperback. Every story comes with smaller follow-up prompts and room to answer by hand. Each chapter has photo pages, there are memory pages for a timeline, a family tree, recipes and sayings, and a Legacy Letter closes the book.
What is the difference between the hardcover and the paperback?
Only the cover. Both have the same 178 pages, the same 58 stories and the same large page size. The hardcover ($24.99) is the one to give and keep for generations. The paperback ($17.99) is lighter to post and an easy way to give one to each grandparent.
When will my journal arrive?
Amazon prints and ships it, and shows the delivery estimate for your address before you order.
What if they're not writers?
They don’t need to be. Each question opens a specific memory, with follow-up prompts to help them begin. They can write a few lines at a time, skip around, or answer out loud while someone they love writes it down.
